“20 Years of Legacy, Moving Forward Through Art”: Anniversary Appreciation Event
The SKS Arts and Culture Foundation held the “20 Years of Legacy, Moving Forward Through Art” appreciation event in 2025 to commemorate its 20th anniversary milestone. Since its establishment, the Foundation has upheld the principles of “protection, heritage, and innovation,” recognizing arts and culture as a driving force for social sustainability and continuously investing in arts education and promotion.
The event highlighted two decades of achievements and long-standing partnerships with arts organizations. Participating groups—including World Vision Taiwan, Afighter Theatre, Juedai Contemporary Jazz Dance Theater, and the Taiwan Hope in Love Children Care Association—presented performances that reflected the outcomes of sustained collaboration and shared growth.
Guided by a commitment to long-term support, the Foundation actively promotes arts development by bringing arts education into schools and rural communities, expanding access, reducing urban–rural disparities, and enhancing cultural literacy.
In line with sustainability principles, event gifts incorporated products from social enterprises, including Love Soap and Tudigogo, extending support for the arts to environmental protection and social care, and demonstrating cross-sector integration.
Looking ahead, SKS will continue to strengthen arts initiatives, connect broader resources, and promote cultural inclusion—positioning the arts as a key driver of social connection and sustainability.
Advancing Cultural Inclusion: Diverse Arts Development Initiatives
The SKS Arts and Culture Foundation addresses unequal resource distribution by partnering with professional NGOs to deliver diverse arts development programs, expanding access to arts education for students in rural and underserved communities. Through sustained investment and collaboration, the Foundation supports partners including the Taiwan Hope in Love Children Care Association, the Taipei Orphan Welfare Organization, and World Vision Taiwan, advancing locally grounded initiatives.
Across these programs, the arts serve as a bridge for learning and growth. Through World Vision’s cultural teams, children engage in mother-tongue learning and traditional arts to strengthen cultural identity. Programs by the Taipei Orphan Welfare Organization integrate visual arts and music, providing channels for emotional expression and self-exploration while helping students discover their interests and potential. Group-based activities also foster collaboration and build supportive networks.
Through long-term, stable support, the Foundation creates more equitable development opportunities, helping students build confidence, a sense of achievement, and positive self-identity. Looking ahead, the Foundation will continue to expand these efforts, ensuring every child can realize their potential and move forward with confidence.
