To facilitate the selection of suppliers, in accordance with SKS’s Procurement Management Regulations, the procurement unit examines suppliers’ supply capability and credit status as well as establishes the basic information of suppliers prior to procurement. Additionally, the unit also conducts a comprehensive evaluation of suppliers’ supply quality, service attitude, cooperation status, and price before each contract renewal, these helps eliminate suppliers with poor performance. In addition, since 2013, we have established a Commitment to Human Rights and Environmental Sustainability Terms for Key Partners, and invited them to sign and to comply with regulations on labor rights and human rights (including the prohibition against child labor), labor health, occupational safety and health, environmental protection, and codes of conduct on ethical corporate management. SKS also conducts on-site inspections in accordance with the Supplier Inspection Form every year to promote balanced and sustainable development of the economy, society, environment and ecology. SKS additionally requires suppliers to be informed when purchasing energy-using equipment over NT$100,000; and we include energy performance in procurement item evaluations, and require suppliers to fill out Energy Performance Quotations. If a supplier is found to be in violation of the Commitment, subsequent procedures are carried out in accordance with the contract.
